PATHS (Parents and Teachers Helping Students), our parent/teacher group, invites you to join us this year.  Every parent with a child attending Warrenton Grade School is a member of this group.  Plan to join us at our monthly meetings held the third Monday of every month, exept for the non-school Mondays in Jan. and Feb.  (We meet on the third Tuesday of those months.) Please stop by the information table during the Back to School Night and Meet and Greet events held prior to school starting to sign up to help  during an event, get information or ask questions from our supportive parents already making a difference at WGS.

Can't make our meetings, but would like to help out?  Here's an easy way to provide support by signing up for the eScrip program and contribute your shopping points to our group.

Families and students are invited to attend a welcome back to school event in the gym at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at Warrenton Grade School.  A short presentation in the gym will be followed by an opportunity for students to visit classrooms, purchase agenda/planner books, pay sports fees, check bus routes and times and get set for the first day of school when classes begin on Sept. 7, 2010.

It is time to start preparing and planning for "Back to School" as the local stores begin to advertise school supplies.  Please refer to the attached list of supplies for each of the grade levels at Warrenton Grade School.  Students in Kindergarten - second grade will receive a free backpack from the Communities In Schools - North Coast during the meet and greet for families on Sept. 1.   If your child or family needs any assistance in obtaining the school supplies, please contact the school to let them know your needs. 

Students new to the district can register after August 9^th during the office hours below.  Please register as early as possible, so your child can be assigned to a class prior to the start of school.
 
Families of returning students will receive a registration packet in the mail the week of August 9^th-13^th .  Completed materials can be mailed or dropped off at the office during the hours below:

Summer Office hours: 8 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.  Mon.- Fri. (Office is closed between 12:00 - 1:00 each day)

June 10, 2010   It's time to start planning the Walk-a-Thon for next fall.  2 PATHS meetings are scheduled for planning, June 14th at 3:30 pm and on August 30th.  The June meeting is very important to attend if you would like to help.  If you helped last fall, please gather info together in preparation.  This years event is scheduled for October 1, 2010.  Please go to the "Get Involved" tab on the grade school site for more information regarding PATHS (Parents And Teachers Helping Students).

The Spring Music Concert will be on Tuesday, June 8th, 2010 at 7 pm.  Come and enjoy a night of entertainment for the whole family and see how much our young musicians have grown in their skill throughout the year.
