1/31-2/4

Please look at the attachments for this weeks events in my classes. I have also attached the power point for my Economics class. If you student would like to print them they may but must physically write them on their own paper as well.

1/24-1/27

This is a very important week for both of my classes. In Government we will be finishing up our unit on the Supreme Court. We will also be having our Government final on Thursday. I have attached a study guide in my attachments. The study guide is OPTIONAL, however if your student chooses to complete it I will give them 20 extra points that will go towards their final. This review must be complete or points will not be given.

In SIW we are going to be finishing the Scholarship Inc Application on Monday. I have asked students to email me their applications when they are finished. Tuesday through Friday we will be doing our Job Shadow presentations.

It is hard to believe that half the year is almost over! Let the 2nd half be as good as the first!

11/15/10-11/19/10

Note the attached Unit 5 Questions.

They are questions from Monday's class. If you were absent please answer them in paragraph form and turn them in when you get back.

11/8/10-11/12/10

This week we will be doing our presentations on the mid-term elections that we have been covering for about the last 6 weeks. Be sure that your student is prepared for the presentation that must be 5 minutes in length. Ask them about these presentations and help them be successful on them!

In SIW we will be finishing up Unit 5 and we be moving into the second part of SIW which entails the career part. We will be looking at post-high school plans.

If you have any questions or concerns feel free to contact me!

11/1/10-11/5/10

This is a big week for the seniors! They are going to be turning in their election projects that we have been working on for about the last 5 weeks. If you have been following the class we have been going to the computer lab about two times a week in order for them to get the paper done. I encourage you to make sure that they are close to being done. The final product must be a minimum of five pages. Again, this is the minimum!
